Pre-Purchase survey on Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 29.2

Today was spent in Whiterock (Strangford Lough) conducting a pre-purchase survey on this Jeanneau 29.2 with a lifting keel. New mast, boom and standing rigging in 2019 at a cost of £7500! The rigging was around £3500; this is what you commit to spending every 10 years when you buy a yacht. Inspect all the rigging (unstep the mast) every 5 years, replace the rigging every 10.
The owner took me to the old mast and asked if I could spot what the rigger spotted, that forced a replacement mast. Glad to say it only took me a few seconds to find the defect!
